Bike Ramp
Like in most bike-friendly cities in Europe there are often bike ramps or rails up stairs to assist the cyclist get their bike from down to up or vice versa. Like this one in Berne, Switzerland.

It's the simple design details that make a difference.

I was really impressed by the extreme functionnality of such a small object when I visited Amsterdam. Makes all the difference in the world and takes away many many bad reasons to not bike! (from Québec)
W00t - we've got one of these at my station in London - it actually took me a while to work out what it was for! Obvious now I think of it. Just wasn't expecting anyone in charge to 'think bike'. Especially after they put the bike racks at the bottom of two flights of stairs...
