The Nature of Things with David Suzuki

Back in the summer I posted about David Suzuki's visit to Copenhagen, with his daughter Sarika and a film crew from the CBC.

The legendary environmentalist and scientist was filming a documentary for Canadian Broadcasting about sustainability in Europe and we went for a bike ride in Copenhagen, over two days.

The trailer is above and the programme premieres on Sunday, November 16, 2008 on CBC - for those of you in Canada or close to the border where you can get the CBC signal.

With any luck my verbose musings weren't edited out...

The link to the youTube video that you posted seems broken. Perhaps the video was removed for copyright reasons? Anyhow, you can view some of the clips from the show directly on CBC's website:

If you click "Watch Online" you can find a couple clips in the "Denmark" part of the show where Suzuki meets with Mikael to talk about cycling in Copenhagen, and another where they go to IKEA to try out their bike trailers.

yes, I live in Vancouver. You think they filter it so you can only view if you live in Canada? I have never heard of that before, but I guess it's possible.

Anyhow... Good interview!

I watched the program on the CBC, and it was very well done. The presentation of the effectiveness of cycling as transportation, as well as how effective proper cycling lanes and paths are at helping cyclists use their bicycles safely. To be honest, it made me wish I was living in Europe again. Why oh why did I move back to Canada?
