Copenhagen - C02 Neutral in 15 Years

Good Morning Copenhagen
There was a brief piece on the news just now about how the City of Copenhagen will launch a plan on Tuesday [17th of March, 2009] that will reveal how we aim to become the world's first carbon neutral capital city by 2025.

I'm looking forward to seeing the details. I'll keep you posted.

We're going to be five years ahead of you. Assen is only the capital of a province, though, not a whole country.

Other cities are doing the same things, and we'll be seeing more of from the more responsible nations.

You all are a great example for us car-loving Americans. Go for it.

In the USA, our best ideas are new hybrid vehicles to replace fuelish ones. Green SUV the ultimate oxymoron?

And just in case any of us think we're doing well, here's a whole country which is planning to beat us, albeit a small country.

Not fair with the Maldives. I've been there. Nary a car in sight. No decades-long car culture to overturn. But nice one them.

Hurray for good sense! I just wish that would help to shame my current (Canadian) government's atrocious weaseling when the climate talks are up later this year in KBH...
