All very nice to see and unusual for North America. I have a problem with the PM's comments about the class 3 shared lanes, however: the markings let drivers know there will be cyclists and that they have a right to the space. Cyclists ALWAYS have a right to the space on roads like this whether there are markings or not. Is there not a danger that roads like this may cause drivers on unmarked roads to be more aggressive toward cyclists thinking that the lack of markings means they do not have a right to be there?
