The European Green City Index is out, sponsored by Siemens and developed by The Economist Intelligence Unit. Yet another index. This one determines which European cities are the greenest, using a slough of factors.
The Scandinavian capitals occupy the top 3: Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. Helsinki is at number 7.

Even someone who recognizes Monckton's idiocy might be interested in the methodology.
Note that, when reading the city portrait of Copenhagen on Siemens website the population stated is only for the municipality of Copenhagen - approx. 504,000 inhabitants. Copenhagen consists of many municipalities with around 1.8 million inhabitants in total.
I've always considered Finland Nordic, rather than Scandinavian.
WHAT? Helsinki down at 7th, and Berlin up there at 8th? Something is wrong...

The order can be debatable (Brussels before Paris etc) but the collected information is interesting.
