Caught this chap during the climate conference. Not quite sure what he has going on with his bicycle, but he smiled and shouted "it runs on the dynamo!"
What a generally awesome guy. I enjoyed the rear light I had that ran on the dynamo. No batteries to replace were nice, but now I just buy rechargeables...
This is Nørrebrogade, the busiest bicycle street in the western world. it has been closed off to cars for certain stretches and the bicycle lanes have been widened in high-density stretches, as you can see in the photo from Dronning Louise's Bridge. A lane was taken from cars to create an extra bicycle lane. the existing bike lane, at left has a ramp down to the new lane.
there are plans to raise up the outer lane in time.
