A.U.T.O.

Don't know how this one slipped past my radar. Brilliance from Streetfilms.org. Meet Veronica Moss, lobbyist from A.U.T.O. - Automobile Users Trade Organization. If she was Danish she'd work for the Road Safety Council [Rodet for Sikker Panik].

As disturbing as that is, its getting too common. One guy i know owns a 15 year old god knows how many handed suv that is falling to pieces. When i heard of his maintenance cost $500 for rego i was glad i had a back injury that initially forced me to ride.

Is she for real?

Lame propaganda.
No Branko, she's not for real.

Why not highlight good respectful drivers instead of making up comedic personas out of thin air?

It's just as childish as automobilists pretending all cyclists are dirty hippies.

Two posts coming together really make the point that such satire is needed. In one, we've got a clearly quite nasty candidate to me mayor putting forward a rather hideous view on cycling, and in the next we see a parody thats so close to the truth I often encounter as to straddle the line between funny and frightening.

Watch them one after the other, I've put them together here:

Its really quite scary.
