Winter Postman

The Post Must Get Out
It takes a hell of a lot more than a freezing snowstorm to stop the Danish postal service in our cities.

Looks better then canada post...My carrier usually takes the winter off with an "injury"...Then again they also wait 30 minutes for a taxi to take them three blocks.

No bike posties here. It's already all vans and the occasional push trolly. No golf carts yet, but there's the odd police officer on a Segway and I'm sure that at least a few of the posties view them with a bit of envy.

It almost seems a shame it's pointless to carry long haul mail on a bike. I've never seen myself as an urban messenger (I've done a few odd runs for a few extra bucks, when the runs were available and the bucks were needed), but I could see myself on a fixie shooting out of Sacramento yelling, "Way! Way! Mail coming through. Yo, ho and on to Saint Jo!"

I delivered New Year Post cards in my child while riding such a Japanese postal bicycle. I remember my memory about twenty five years ago. Thanks.
