Copenhagenizing Vancouverism

I live on the other side of Canada. I am so jealous. I would love to go to your presentation and the Velo Conference. "sigh."

Don't forget to pack your bicycle helmet, Vancouver being a mandatory bicycle helmet law place and all. ;) Bon voyage. veronica

I'll be riding without a helmet, Veronica. As I always do.

Please do report back to us on your experience. I'm curious to know whether you (a) get a backlash from other cyclists and (b) get a ticket. Just to compare to my own experience. veronica

I'm sure he'll have no problem. I've been riding in Victoria (much more constipated when it comes to these sorts of things) for years without a helmet and have received only one ticket -- and it was during an enforcement blitz at a school.

People do say things to me though. Just smile and wave.

Mikael: any chance you will be in Victoria? I'd love to see your presentation.
